Set up and manage automations

  1. Open Automations in your dashboard and go to the Library tab.
  2. Find the automation you want and tap it. A short setup form opens.
  3. Fill in the settings. Fields marked with a red star are required.
  4. Under Send me the results, choose where Brea should message you.
  5. Click Turn on.

The automation moves to the Yours tab. For a minute or so it shows Starting while Brea sets it up. After that it runs on its own.

There are over a hundred automations, so there are three ways to narrow things down:

  • Search. Type in the box at the top. It matches names, descriptions, and app names, so “gmail weekly” works.
  • Categories. Tap a category, like Inbox, Files, or Meetings. Popular shows the most used ones.
  • Apps. Tap All apps and pick one app to see only the automations that use it.

Search and filters work together. Tap Clear filters to start over.

That automation needs an app you haven’t connected yet. Tap it to go to the Integrations page, connect the app, then come back. See Connect an integration.

Some automations need more than one app. All of them have to be connected before you can turn it on.

  1. Go to the Yours tab.
  2. Tap the automation.
  3. Click Reconfigure, change what you want, then click Save changes.

You can also just tell Brea in chat. See below.

Go to Yours, tap the automation, then click Pause. It keeps all its settings and stops running until you click Resume.

Go to Yours, tap the automation, then click Delete automation and confirm. It stops running and is removed. You can set it up again from the library at any time.

If you’re not sure, pause it instead. Pausing is easy to undo.

You don’t have to use the dashboard for everything. In chat you can ask Brea to:

  • List the automations you have
  • Change an automation’s settings, for example “stop archiving those” or “that one is too noisy”
  • Pause or resume an automation

Turning on a new automation and deleting one are done in the dashboard.

If nothing in the library fits, describe what you want in chat. For example: “Every weekday at 8am, send me a summary of my unread email.” It shows up under Yours like any other automation.
